Better engagement between Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander organisations and other organisations

The QATSIHS Coalition developed and delivered a workshop on better engagement between Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander organisations and other organisations at the Compact Intersectoral Forum at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on 13 September 2010.  A checklist was produced at the forum.

Symposium on service delivery reform to reduce Indigenous disadvantage

The QATSIHS Coalition convened the inaugural 'Symposium on service delivery reform to reduce Indigenous disadvantage' at the Dreamtime Centre in Rockhampton on 13-14 May 2010.  The symposium brought together 102 delegates from across the State, representing 40 organisations from all parts of the health and human services system in Queensland.  Three key themes were discussed:

  • Context for reform
  • Challenges for service delivery reform
  • Models of integrated service delivery

Queensland State Election

The QATSIHS Coalition has put together a lobby kit to assist communities, individuals and agencies to call on government for sustainable investment and commitment to improve the lives of our most vulnerable families and children.

Community Door is managed and developed by the Queensland Council of Social Service in partnership with the Australian Centre for Philanthropic and Non-profit Studies. It is funded by the Queensland Department of Communities.
